As you write in this book, for the next 37 days of your life, there is a deep reflection of journaling, and there is power in gratitude, as studies have shown. I promise you will learn so much more about yourself than ever before when you take time for yourself, even if that 5 minutes a day.
Time spent on yourself is not a waste; you are the only one who will benefit from it and is always well-spent
I once heard from a trainer that everyone wants to love and be loved, and I find this statement true.
The people who desire our love but somehow cannot be loved in return or those whom we love but that love is not return.
I (we) always have a choice.
Have you considered:
How about loving yourself first?
You can love yourself first before loving others. This act of self-love is not selfish, but it’s empowering. It’s about recognizing your worth and taking care of yourself, which in turn allows you to care for others.
You can love yourself so that you have full of love for other people to care for others.
Who can run on an empty battery of low love energy?
How can you give without expectations when you don't have self-love?
There are many more questions that I can ask as a coach. Let me be honest here. I did not get to where I am now, fully loving myself and having no expectations. It took many years of practice, and I am still on my journey.
Whatever stages, phases, or seasons you are in, you can manage your emotions and actions if you know thyself (Know Yourself).
“Know Thyself” is knowing yourself on the awareness level and being aware of yourself on the experience level. It means knowing at the awareness level without taking any form of active action toward change is as good as knowing that smoking is terrible; you see it on the cigarette box, those warning images, and you still choose to smoke.
At the experiential level, it means that you will choose (know that from moment to moment, you always have a choice) to act or not act upon the awareness, as the most important moment is in the NOW.
Enjoy the ride of this book.
BE HAPPY & PEACEFUL.
With love,
Dr. (h.c) Jennifer Lim PN
